Cancun is recognized for its amazing white-sand beaches. The US News & World Travel Report ranks it #9 of the best beaches in the world. The ‘Hotel Zone’ is where most of the hotels in Cancun are located. When you travel there, remember you want to get a hotel room facing the ocean side and not the lagoon which is on the other side of the strip of land nesting all the hotels. (However, you might be a fan of lagoons, your choice, but I prefer the ocean view.) *Drop in Photo looking outside the lagoon side*
I was blessed enough to stay at Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach Cancun. Which had stunning views of the ocean. My suite was right on the edge of Cancun, the scenic view meant you saw both the sunrise and sunset. The hotel arranged for a private car to pick me up for a hassle-free ride to the hotel, which was only about a 15min drive from the airport. Upon arrival, the hotel was very serious about COVID safety and not only did temperature checks and the hotel staff was pressing buttons, opening doors, and sanitizing everything behind you. Face masks were REQUIRED at all times other than when you were eating, swimming, or outside and relaxing.
All-inclusive hotels are a must for Cancun because you really don’t want to leave your hotel unless going out for excursions/guided tours. It’s more convenient for me, and I didn’t feel the need to leave the hotel at all due to all the great amenities they offered.
Food! I had an 8-course authentic Mexican meal one night, enjoying traditional Mexican flavors from “The Table”. I also had exclusive privileges to visit the Infinite Club which has VIP access to the 12th floor with its own food and dining access to personalized space on the beach and lounge chair options as well as an exclusive sundeck, also a terrific kids area.
Can we talk about the SPA!!! The Gem Spa was a heaven-sent. They have a hydrotherapy section that included an Ice Room, Rain Room, Aromatherapy Steam Room, Sauna, Massage therapy, and a huge pool designed for sensations (water cascade, massaging jets see the photo).
Isla Mujeres as such a cool little island. I wish I was able to explore it more but you can ride a boat right up to the sandbank and walk up to the beach. It’s not a far boat ride on the ferry either at all and visible from my hotel. I wish I would have explored more rather than stuff my face with shrimp tacos.
I’ll keep this short, I really enjoyed Cancun and Grand Fiesta did an outstanding job at treating me for the vacation I much needed. I had a jacuzzi and steam room in my bathroom which may have been the size of the entire upstairs of my house! Thank you Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach Cancun. Take a look at my quick video on my Instagram page, no worried yall a Youtube video is coming soon! Right now I’m at about an hour long video in my eiting process ekkkk!
