I never thought about visiting Salt Lake City (SLC) until my modeling agency which is located there. I’ve been a few times since and have enjoyed each time. The view of the mountains when flying in and driving around you are surrounded by them on each side and I personally can’t stop looking. Here is my list of things I’ve done since visiting!
There are various places to go skiing in SLC and a few have resorts and lodges attached to the ski slopes. I visited Woodward Park City. There are tons of places in Park City to get skiing and tubing it was about a 30min drive from SLC.
Did you know there about 7+ different Hot Springs in Utah?
Homestead Crater is a 55ft hole in the ground. It is not a crater created by things crashing from the sky, but rather things bubbling up from the ground. It’s actually a caldera, created by minerals accumulating into a dome-like shape over thousands of years. Staying at a steady 90-96 degrees Fahrenheit you will want to soak up all the minerals that are released in the water. You have to reserve your time online or call ahead due to COVID. It was well worth it and there was a small fee from $13-$21 and Snorkeling for an extra fee. This was bout a 50min drive from SLC. I also went to Saratoga Hot Springs which is more desolate and natural. Slightly unkempt and at the edge of Utah Lake. You had to walk down the dirt path and which leads to the springs, this spring reaches 109 degrees and is very shallow if you have younger kids. This is about 30mins away from SLC.
I saw Buffalo!!!! Real Live Buffalo or Bison just grazing! This was such a site to see. They are free-range on the Island and you drive through small routes around the park to see them. Watch out I heard they also have Bobcat in the park too so I suggest staying in your car or going to well-populated areas. You can Hike, Bike, or ride around if you want. My mom and I got out and walked around in the Great Salt Lake which has some parts that are 10 times saltier than the ocean, so yes you will float with ease! Access to the park is about $10-$12 a car.
Each time I go back I find something new to do!
